Formed in 2024, Dora's Haven Assisted Living Facility, located in Texas, was established by Candice Johnson to honor the memory of her beloved mother, Dora.

Candice Johnson is a board-certified
Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with a lifelong passion for caring for others. Born and raised in Pontiac, Michigan, she was taught the values of compassion, hard work, and community from an early age. Those values have guided her throughout her nursing career and now inspire her journey as the founder of Dora’s Haven Assisted Living.
With years of experience in women’s health and patient care, she understands the importance of dignity, trust, and personalized support. Starting a Residential Assisted Living home has been a dream close to her heart, created in honor of my late mother. Through this work, she is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and family-centered environment where seniors can thrive, and families can find peace of mind.
Her mission is to combine my professional expertise with her personal dedication to create a home where care truly feels like family.
